General Body Meeting – Creating Generational Wealth Post-Pandemic
June 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
2021 marks the centennial of one of the United States most infamous atrocities that was pitted against the Black community during the Tulsa Riots & Massacre which took place on May 31st and June 1st, 1921. During the start of the roaring 20s, the Tulsa Oklahoma Black Community embodied the height of Black Economics and Wealth Creation. It is said within the Tulsa region known as Greenwood (also referred to as Black Wall Street), every dollar would change hands 19 times before it left the Black community The destruction of Black Wall Street, which was deeply rooted in racism and hate, had crippling effects not only in the Tulsa community but throughout the US.
Fast Forward to present day, Black Entrepreneurs are still motivated and driven to recreate Black Wall Street while creating generational wealth in the Black Community. On Tuesday June 8, 2021 the San Diego NSBE Professionals will host a special panel discussion highlighting Black Entrepreneurs who will share their journeys while providing advice for startups and small businesses. This is a great opportunity to hear from the perspective of those seeking to create the “New Black Wall Street”.
